A list of known issues and appropriate guidance are listed below. Where applicable a fix release version is mentioned.
Error 9 - Subscript out of range - during registration
If during the installation of the software, you skipped the registration phase, the software will request it when first executed. However, due to a problem with an external component a workaround had to found. This was not possible, although the license was still correctly generated.
Solution: Fixed in 1.2.65
Error 13 - Type Mismatch - when starting the software
This error occurs when the database cannot be found during the start up phase of the software. The likely causes are
- Incorrect permissions on the registry
- Invalid location specified for the network installation
- Insufficient permissions on the folder containing the database
Solution: There is no fix required for this, however v1.2.65 includes additional information for these errors to assist in diagnosis
Ask the administrator to ensure that Read/Write permissions are granted on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Corporate Risk Systems, also the folder allocated for the database on a network server should be set to modify permissions.
Error 457 - An item with this key or ordinal has been found - Viewing the profile
Very rarely, multi-user systems have a conflict where the data is read by both parties simultaneously and the same ID number is allocated to multiple items in the profile. This is now fixed in 1.2.65 and is caused by a missing primary key on the data table. Contact Support for fixing this issue using the Contact Us links (fixed in 1.2.65)
Invalid Use Of Null
In version 1.2.64, a feature was added to allow the users to modify the sequence of items in the Corporate Profile. However, some users with existing databases have reported issues with error warnings during report creation. This is fixed in version 1.2.66
Demonstration Database
Introduced in version 1.2.65 was the demonstration database, installed with the application instead of the blank database. This assists users with using the software and helps demonstrate the features. Existing users experienced issues with 'demonstration data' warnings when attempting to modify the profile and/or items within it. This is now fixed in 1.2.66
Error handling action plans from the task list
When you create a new hazard, an entry is automatically created in the task pad. If you entered the assessment, using the link from the task pad, an action plan was created if the risk was not acceptable. However, this would not be associated correctly with the hazard. This is now fixed in 1.3
